Are You Ded Yet?
Clear Channel's brilliant (NOT!) push to promote HD Radio is centered around a campaign entitled "Are You Def Yet?" Their Creative Services Group is offering the spots to any operator who would like to use them.

Problem is, until they start giving the HD RADIOS away to whomever wants one, it's not gonna make a damn bit o' difference.

What You Do Speaks So Loudly
I Cannot Hear What You Say.

From Thursday's Inside Radio...
Spitzer's gubernatorial campaign accepted $40,000 in donations from music-industry figures last Fall. The New York Post says Paul Fribourg (who's on the board of Universal Music's parent) donated $25,000 last September, and Richard Sarnoff (on the supervisory board of Bertelsmann) gave $10,000 in November. Those came after the New York State Attorney-General began his payola investigation.

Spitzer's running as a Democrat to become the next governor of New York state. GOP rival Bill Weld's campaign quickly says the contributions raise "some serious ethical questions for the AG." Spitzer's campaign says the donations are acceptable because Fribourg and Sarnoff are merely board members of a parent company of the music divisions.
