"We suck at marketing ourselves."
"no matter how bad [off] radio is, TV is worse."
Ahhhh... words of inspiration from NAB's convention.
"We suck at marketing ourselves." Bill Figenshu states an obvious industry problem, but gets laughs from the crowd instead of shameful silence at the NAB's "Future of Radio" session

Emmis chief jokes "no matter how bad [off] radio is, TV is worse." Jeff Smulyan breaks up the room at the Financing session with an anecdote about radio's current status on Wall Street.

I'm hoping they'll get down to business and putting ideas into ACTION in order to save radio from its own chronic antipathy of success.

Mel, Mel, Mel...
Karmazin says the new Sirius "S50" wearable radio is equivalent to an iPod. I'll have to dig up some additional info about the S50 -- but I doubt it.

Can people provide their own original content, switch between desktop/automobile/portable player at will, and trade files with their friends -- or is it simply Tivo for Satellite?

Focusing primarily on terrestrial radio broadcasting, ZombieRadio.com is dedicated to pointing out the mindless and brain-dead actions of the mainstream media industry in general.

Don't get too comfortable satellite, television, cable, and internet -- we all know from seeing zombie movies that the contagion spreads quickly.

"They're coming to get you..."
