Godin's Guide to Podcasting
For some reason, many people read Seth Godin's post on podcasting and thought he was coming out against the idea -- I don't think that could be further from the truth. He was simply pointing out some weaknesses in the idea of completely switching over from blogging to podcasting.

The same could be said for ANY media.
They didn't stop listening to the radio when tv came out.
People didn't stop reading because movies came out.

They didn't stop going to the movies because videos became available.
And they won't stop reading blogs because podcasts came out.

The really important thing to keep in mind is Simultaneous Media Usage.
There is no "either/or" -- people are surfing the 'net while watching tv. They're listening to the radio while reading. And they'll be listening to podcasts while doing all of the above.

Seth makes some really important points in the follow-up to his original post. You ought to read it -- unless you're busy doing something else.
